I am looking at buying a 46" bowfront tank. It comes with an Odyssea 154 watt T5 light (2 x 10000k, 2 x actinic, and LED moonlights)

I know it can grow some types but will it be sufficient enough to grow most corals?

I plan on replacing it with an led light a 6-8 months down the road.

I have to agree, especially if you put in ATI, Giesemann, or UVL bulbs. If not those brand of bulbs, then you may have to play with placement of corals a little bit more (moving up the higher light-demanding corals to the top part of the tank). Either way you should be good to go for just about any coral.

agree completely. im using half the amount of bulbs and all my soft corals are doing fine. although i know a little more light is better, yours should be just fine for alot of corals
