    Hi all ,
I am looking for some answers on my lights . they are flourcent bulbs not sure exactly which ones they are as I cant seem to see markings all of them .1 is 14000K and another 20000K and their is 2 that are blue and two that are not so bright whtie lights. 6 in all.
The lights came with the tank and it was a reef tank befor I restarted it so I asume they should be some where in the correct lighting area for the tank but I just dont know how old they are although some appear to have a dark ring starting inside them at the ends .
is it time to change bulbs?

i would change the bulbs no matter what if you dont no how old they are, because if theyt are a littl old you will get some nasty algae growth.

Ditto on what aquaboy said. You might as well get some new ones so you know what you have and when you bought them. FYI, when I install my lights, I write the date that I put them in with a sharpe right on the bulbs.

Right, change now...then write down dates for later changes.

Just can't tell by eye, when bulbs need to be swapped out.
