Lights on or not??

    My tank is on its fourth day of an attemped cycle. Should I have the lights on?? they are on timers. If not when should I start to turn the lights on? Thnaks

    Lights are unnecessary at this point. All they will do is help out unwanted algae. I would leave them off until your cycle is complete and you have "stuff" in there.

    i used the Tangster method and did not turn them on till week 14, do you have any fish in the tank?

    No fish, I put two raw shrimp in, all my sand and rock was dry when I started
