    Thanks for the tip. Do I need the ballasts specifically for the Nova or will any t5ho ballast work? any recommendations?

    I alos have a 20 gal reef tank that is running PC lights and would like to upgrade that eventually.

    Any T5 HO ballast will work as long as it supports your bulb wattage. I think you mentioned you have a Nova Extreme 4x24w fixture? So if you have a 4 bulb fixture, most likely there are 2 ballasts. As long as the replacement ballast fits in place of the old, then it will work. There are a range of ballasts to choose from depending on your price range. To name a few brands, workhorse, advance, accu-start, vossloh schwabe, current.
