    What is a good amount of watts for t5ho? If we wanted to keep zoo's, xenia, and shroms what is good for a standard 20? We saw a t5ho 48watts?

    i have a tek 4x54w light and my zoa's are really happy. and thats on my 60 gal

    So would the 48 watt t5ho be enough for a 20g?

    Alot would have to do with the types of coral you wish to keep. Also, other variables need to be looked at to determine your answer. The clarity of your water, based on dissolved organic and particulate matterand turbidity will decrease the amount of light irradiance to your tank animals below and so on...
    So lighting alone is just one piece to the puzzle IMO!

    i think so.you would probably be ok but you'de be limitting yourself from getting anything in the future that may require higher lighting like leathers.

    well I figured a leather would be a really large coral for a 20g, my hubby just wants some more colourful shrooms, xenia, and zoo's.
