I wouldnt be concerned, I traded for some kenya trees a while back and when I got them I swore they were all dead but after a few days they started looking better and better, They are a very easy coral to keep in my opinion and very very hardy. Mine do the same thing every couple of months they will wither up and look like there dieing for a day or 2 and then there back to normal.

I agree. Kenya tree coral can take a bit of time to acclimate to your system, but once they do, they are very hardy. If this is a freshly cut frag, sometimes running a little activated carbon can clean the water up a tad, thus easing the transition.

    Best of luck!

I would not know. What are your water parameters like? Also, unless it has completely turned black or fallen apart, I would not give up hope. A friend of mine had a soft coral look like it was going to die on her--long story short--it split off and recovered.

Perhaps there was not enough current for it?

did you acclimate your coral and if you did for how long? it might just be adjusting to the tank if it doesnt look better soon maby try moving it to a different area of the tank because depending on the coral they like different types of water flow and lighting maby that would help

Mine does the same thing for a few days at a time. It will look shriveled and shrunk then open up after a few days. They do like strong current. When you think its too strong....its probably not. Seems like the more current the better mine does.
