    Kenya trees seem to be prone to RTN. They get infections easily from a slight scratch and then melt away. I've had mine do that several times. Everytime i see it start to spread. I'll cut the whole infected part off. It usually stops it and within a couple of weeks it starts growing again. once i let a piece disintengrate completly and the stub grew back into a new one. You should not throw it away. See if it comes back. and next time you get an infection cut the infected piece off of the whole top of it and it will probably come back.

    are you using any type of phosphate remover? I think removing too much phosphates hurts some softies or atleast removing it too fast. Also AlK might be important as well. Post your parameters.

    oh and i just saw your post about the refugium. Sometimes if you change your filters quickly you can shock your system so be careful about that.
