Lily looking macro or plant?

    I found these neat guys in an estuary in less than a foot of water. This was on florida's atlantic coast. They survived okay in my tank until my turbos got em. They were growing in colonies on the backs of shells. Their heads were about 7mm in diameter. What are they? Im thinking some type of macro.

    1+ Dang, 1st post, ur good, Acetabularia is the genus. Googling "mermaids cup" turned that up. Thanks. Cool, their also a huge single celled organism
