Wow left on the light for 20 Minutes and thsi is what happened. Should i jsut leave the ligth off or should i let them live as i have had some die off already as my ammonia measures about .25 mg/l.?This tank is 7 days into cycling btw.

Looks good so far, except I think thats an apstasia in the pic. Not good, should get rid of them or they'll spread quickly in an attempt to take over  When I used to have my FOWLR 55 set up I had a big problem with them but used Joe's Juice which got most of them and then a couple peppermint shrimp and after the shrimp I never saw another one in my tank. Good luck!!

Sorry for the Number of POsts, Just tryign to Document Everything.

So i went to the Beach to get the rock. I went with an 18Gallon Sterilite Container.

We went as a group because Trinidadians will make any excuse to drink and to take a "dip in the sea".

Below are some pics from my adventure:

Zev the Pitbull all too happy with helping prep for the 2hr Journey

The Small cars which were a big problem (i think next time i will have to get a buddy with a van as i spent alot of money cleaning out saltwater as i chose to transport the live rock submerged in the sterilite container)

Arrival to harvesting location. Had to bribe the wifey with a pair of reef shoes so she would be the photographer for my adventure.

Site that was chosen to Harvest Live rock

Problems associated with hiring the wifey to take photos when she is really interested in drinking and easting cheese sticks under a coconut tree.

Unfortunately that was all the pictures that i have but it was time well spent as i filled my sterilite container with live rock and also saw some urchins and hermit crabs that i will be collecting next time i head to this beach.

Cool looking tank and awesome that you can get some stuff from the ocean. As far as the zoas are concerned, you can run your lights while you cycle if you want to help them out. If the ammonia gets too high for a long period, they may die anyways, but good luck with them.
