    Linkias are cool. Do starts do OK on a sandy substrate? I have sugar-fine aragonite.

    IMO it depends on where they are collected. but it would make sense to have rather small substrate

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    The type of bacterial film reportedly eaten by linckia's is not a bacteria that you can buy and add to the tank to facilitates it's growth. You can add bacterial additives until the cows come home, and still end up with a starving linckia long term ( greater than at least 1 year).

    hmm, i've always thought you could add this certain stuff that boosts the gorwth of that bacteria. not directly adding bacteria. guess it just depends?

    maybe i have a lot of bacteria from fish poop? i am a over stocker. was before and still am

    no that linka is the one in my tank now. unless your speaking of the sps corals?
