I just read a profile page about a 75 gallon predatory reef that had 2 volitan lions and a mandarin as well as other small fish. Is this really possible? It explained how the colors and and heavy mucus layer of the mandarin dissuade the lionfish from considering him. If anyone has had any experience with keeping a lionfish and mandarin in the same tank I would really like to hear it because I have always wanted a mandarin.

I know that clown gobies have a special covering on their body that draws away predators from munching on them. It might be multiple types of gobies but I can't clarify that. Either that or they are feed regularly and are always stuffed.
