That's not fair to the fish. It takes time, sometimes a lot of time. Keep trying.

To get frustrated and claim you are almost "done with the lion". You bought a fish that needs to be trained. Some NEVER convert and it's our responsibility to provide them with quality live food.... possibly forever. It can take months..... but don't blame him and don't give up.

He is on live food and will stay on live food. It is a natural instinct for him. That's what I am feeding him from know on

Mollies and other freshwater fish is not good for him long-term. Ghostshrimp will do nicely, however, after enrichment.

i got my two lions to eat dried krill and they love it now, i just let it float and they eat every piece i put in. you was talking about the current, mine will play in it by swimming really hard up to the power head and then spread their fins and turn sideways and let it blow them across my tank. They think that they are dogs or something, they love attention.

I personally stay away from freeze-dried krill. It has been linked with lock jaw. It's being investigated by Drs Noga, Lewbart, Stoskopf and Harms. They haven't concluded the study yet, but their hypothesis is that it's a nutrional issue.

But I HAVE used it as a vessel for liquid vitamins. It will hold a good dose if you inject it slowly. But be careful with fat-soluble vitamins as you can over-dose.

Ya, but that's a part of the problem. They are perfect and then the next day, out of the blue, they are a disfunction of the mouth mechanism.
