    I noticed a red bump under Franklin's mouth yesterday and thought maybe he bumped a rock or something but today it's got some white on it so I'm worried it may be ich. It's not a flat bump, it's sticking out.

    Also he didn't used to keep his mouth open and now it's always slightly open

    Its clearly not ick.... I would wait and see, most likely he just has a sore of some sorts... I would bet it will be gone in a few days....

    lol poor Franklin, he's going to need therapy with all these accusations.

    He would have had to hook up with the cleaner shrimp, there's no other fish in there! Actually, the bump did spring up the day after we got the shrimp...maybe she wasn't as into it as he was.

    Honestly though, I'm so relieved to hear that it isn't ich. That's my biggest tank fear!

    Don't be so afraid of ICH. Its actually not as bad a some other things your fish can get. Yes its not good, but its not the black plague either. My first ICH outbreak I freaked out. Have been threw a couple now, once you understand it and how to deal with it most fish will recover.
