    Hey, I have 32lbs uncured LR cycling in my tank for about a week and i noticed this little guy being pushed around in the current. What is he? good or bad?

    hard to tell but it looks like an amphipod
    my tank has lots of em

    they are fine
    fish will eat them my scooter blenny has totally killed my population
    so im going to set up a pod breeding bucket

    Pods are great, the more the better. They are good detritus eaters as well as provide food for your fish. Come in really handy when we in the reef world strive for low nutrient input via food we add to the environment. You will see this population wax and wane throughout the course of your hobby and are mainly visible in the evening hours after lights out. Good luck!
