I have these really little little little white things on my glass and on the overflows in my tank. They are definitly moving and are so small....they are more longer than they are round or anything....but I am talking tiny ...like a millimeter long.

I would take a picture but I highly doubt they would even show up because they are so small.

What the heck are these things and are they bad?

Pods. Look at your tank at night with a flashlight and there will be tons more. Different kinds of them too.

There are copepods, isopod, and a few more different kinds. They're all good. Just little bugs pretty much. They are a good food source for most fish. One of the main reasons for a refugium is to give them a place to populate without predators. It means your tank is doing well!

Wait a second....you've got over 250 posts on here and never head of pods? Eh, I guess I can understand though....theres alot to take in in this hobby. Anyway, K+ for a tank thriving with pods! Time to get a mandarin dragonet!

Yeah we do! This is the perfect hobby for me because I will never know everything. Any other hobby I am or have been involved with I know it all so quick that it gets boring. Like Jeeps and cars mainly. But in this hobby there are always new discoveries wether it be scientific or just new products or completely fresh ways of doing things that it would be tough to know even most of it. I like to consult guys like Roger (Tangster) because they have been doing this so long they can tell you several ways of doing something and tell you alot of times the more expensive way may not even be worth it or if that may be the only way to go.
