Little pink spirals

    I noticed these things spreading throughout my tank and wasn't able to find anything that looked like them. My guess is it is some kind of worm but I'm still pretty new the aquarium hobby so I wanted to make sure they were harmless.

    In the first picture they are the two pink spiral looking things, one near lower left other other near the upper right. The second is a side shot of one growing on the back of the aquarium, sorry it's a little blurry.

    first of all welcome to 3reef, i wish i could make this thing out i need a little better pic. maybe one of the others can see it . James

    I think they are vermitid snails

    Looks like the snails mentioned above, or feather dusters.

    Definitely vermetid snails!

    +1 they can irritate corals with their webs that they throw out to catch food. annoying imo lol.

    Yea they are, they would always put out there little web when I did water changes, I never had any near my corals but I picked them off when I could they just pop off.

    I have noticed the little webs from time to time, I will be picking them off this evening.
