    my live rock has gotton regular alagee allover it is that normal

    Is it coralline or a hair algae? If it's the red/purple/green plating coralline that's a good thing. Anything else isn't mush of a surprise in a new tank and will probably clear on its own after the tank cycles.

    don't panic yet.it will only hurt corals and not always.it will likely pass,be patient.when your tank is stable add your hermits and snails to eat it,and fish ,keep up on maintenance.it will eventually lose the battle,then you can add coral.

    lol, you think you have algae now, wait till the new lights go on that tank. check your PO4, NO3. and maybe the ammonia to see where the tank is in the cycling process.
