so the other day i got my base rock in and got a 35 gallon tote and filled it with 25 gallon of saltwater, i placed the rock in the bin and have a powerhead pushing 1200gph in the tote, its been running for 2 days now, my question is can i add the live rock now to start the curing process of the base rock and since i dont have a protein skimmer in the tote, is it better to just do like a 25% water change every week? no money to get skimmer for tote but what suggestions do you guys have, i planned on hetting 20 pounds on live rock to seed the base for a few months, till i set up tank,

    thanks

Just put the live rock in and monitor the params. When nitrate, nitrate and ammonia are all zero then do a water change.
