So my tank has been cycling for a little over a month, and to my suprise the live rock has two feather dusters on it... Should I feed these things something? is it likely that they will have more offspring?

Not really any need to feed them at all. people way over fed their tanks anyways and is the major problem mos have with health issues in their tanks.. From fish disease to algae problems. Just let it go until fully cycled

NO, not necessary! They are filter feeders and will feed on nutrients in your water column for the most part.

I thought these guys could only eat plankton. Will they just eat all the die off from the live rock or something- like hermit crabs? While i am on the topic, does anyone ever have problems with small hermit crabs eating critters in the tak or are they pretty much harmless?

Phytoplankton is a major food source for them but so is any particles in the tanks water .. From flakes of food to fish and corals waste.. As hermits I never use them just a few to many and they will get hungry and then fight or eat other animals I add one maybe two snails per 20 gallons or so depending on type of snails.

No crab is totally reef safe they all eat what they can when the need..
