I live in the east TX area, and our lfs has very little to offer for live rock (and it's 15.99/lb). I've been around Houston, and have some live rock from Fish R Us. I'll also be visiting Dallas soon for the holidays. So, I would really like some recommendations for a lfs with some great live rock! Help! I still need 50+ lbs for my 100 gal.

I've look some at ordering online, but I feel like I should pick it out. If there is something great online I'd still check it out!

Dan--buy it from Andy at Fishland. He sells it by the 50lb case for about 150.00 Thats 3.00 per lb. I bought all of mine from him and so did my neighbor. Been real happy with it.

just curious, but why not just add base rock and save a ton of money? its like $3/lb compared to the $15/lb you can get. And you won't run the risk of any unwanted pests from the store LR. I got mine from bulk reef supply and I cant say enough good things about it!

Fish R Us is no longer a very good SW lfs. It has gone downhill quite a bit since their sw person left, although they do sell the live rock for what, 5.99/ lb. Try CityPets off of Bellaire (I think). I got some corals there before...they have an awesome $5-$10 frag rack too!!! If you are in H-Town, check out Marshreef.org - marine ornamentals and saltwater aquariums Resources and Information. This website is for sale! (Houston reef club) for people selling good stuff as well, always rock available.
