I have a few small questionable pieces of live rock. One has a monti growing directly on the rock and 3 colors of coraline algae that i would love to be able to let seed the DT once its added.

There are also a few things in/on the rocks that I would love to get rid of.

My question is, if i dip the piece of rock in Lugol's dip (40 drops/gallon) for 10-15min, will it kill the coraline on the rock?

    Thanks guys :)

Coraline algae loves iodine. but you should only leave it in there for no more than 7 minutes.
