live rock or bio balls in biocube?

    I saw a lot more buildup of gunk on my bioballs than I do on the LR rubble, plus when I want to frag something, I have a supply of rubble.

    Thats true. I was a little too simplistic with my response. But I stand by my claim that they will both cause havoc if your not diligent about cleaning.

    Curious.. how do you keep your bio balls clean? I have live rock too but j/w what you mean

    Take them out about 1/3 at a time, and clean them off. You want to keep detritus from building up on them.
