live rock out of water

How long will the beneficial stuff of live rock stay alive out of water for transportation reasons

 

I've heard for up to a day... But die off starts shortly after leaving the water.

I was told "how long can you hold your breath? ... About that long" when I asked how soon die off starts. If it's at all possible to transport your water in totes (like if you're moving) then do it. If you're just going from LFS to home, it'll be fine I'm sure.

 

Yea just from the lfs so i will bring buckets and hopefully they will put water in em for me

 

I wouldn't bother since you're so close. 1.2 miles I saw on another thread. If you're moving I would, but you're not so it's almost pointless.

 

Ok cool yea im super close and i know everyone that works there so they go easy on me lol
