    just a quick question about the materials of DIY live rock,
    ive made some up using shell grit instead of sand and shells from the lfs cos the difference in price was massive i got 2 buckets of shell grit for 1 dollar as opossed to sand and shell <in seperate bags> for 60 bucks each.

    how ever my question is will shell grit leak anything into my tank that will be an issue?
    also will cement pigment leak anything?, i havent tryed itand wont untill i yet untill i know

    when you say shell grit i assume you mean crush shells or coral?

    no, shell grit is a combo of small shell and sand mix, thats all i know about it :-/

    does make nice rock though..
