Live Rock Question

Can anyone tell me if an epoxy/putty exists that can be used under water that is reef safe that I can use in an existing tank. Most of my live rock is fine the way it is placed, but I have places that need some help.

Or what other methods should I try to secure existing rock.

Most of the adhesives that I have found on the net require the surfaces be dry and clean, But I don't want to kill the creatures living on them already.

Can this be used under Water? Or do the surfaces need to be dry. The link to Dr Smith and Fosters didn't sepcify.

Have you used it to attatch corals, how long did you wait after you applied it before you put it back in the water?

If is can be used under water it looks like it would be perfect.

rip a chunk off mush it together real good and stick it where you want it to hold. mush the top rock into it too and it hardens in about 15-20 min. yes under water. I even used it with pipe thread tape to fix a leak in the supply line under my tank

if you're using a coral stuck to a plug smudge some over the plug too like mold it around it

 

Cancel my last post, I found the info I needed, it can be used on damp or wet surfaces and does cure under water.

+1 on this stuff!! I use it underwater all the time. Just rip some off, roll it up stick it underwater, and there you go (but don't waist to much time).

check with your lfs or lowes/hd they may even have it cheaper
