I'm going to buy 22 pounds of Fiji Premium Live Rock today, I'm going to be getting it this Friday. I was wondering once they are fully cured, Do i just put the whole 22 pounds in the Reef tank or put a couple then wait a few days and add some more?

is this an established reef tank? I would just add dead base rock.

is this a new setup? put all in at once.

I would first get dry base rock over live rock for an established tank.

But if you really want to go live rock route, I'd still add it all at once. You will probably see some level of spike, but as long as it is fully cured, shouldn't be too bad or for too long.

How much rock is in there now?

    dont worry, should be fine.

just for future reference; you can get quality florida base rock from reefcleaners for a really nice price

Benefits of dry rock over live rock

    • No mini-cycle and no curing - just rinse and put it in
    • a ton cheaper
    • will become live rock very quickly
