Live rock??

    SO I am trying to oder Fiji Live rock online and I can't believe how much shipping is!!! I have already paid and its telling me to select shipping (it gave an estimated price) and now I am freaking out because can the live rock last 4 days in transit??????

    It will last, as in the since there will still be alive stuff on it. You will need to cure it no matter how long transit is. Also depending on the supplier they might of had it out of the water for longer than that anyway.

    So although it will be more dead after 4 days, some stuff will make it and after you cure it you will be fine.

    their is going to be MASSIVE dieoff. but other then a very ong cure time it should be ok i would expect a 2 month or longer cycal though

    I ordered 50 LBS of LR online and it was in transit for about 3 days. It DID have massive die off but it took about 3 weeks to cycle it and I still had some Coralline and little critters living on it when it went into my tank :)

    what system makes you pay for the product and shipping separately? :confused:

    Really, I would not go this route. I would get dead fiji rock.

    The cure time you are looking at... I don't, personally, find any value in that sort of effort... just my opinion.

    Just so you know, as long as you're on https, the charge doesn't happen till you 'submit' and get a confirmation number. Just clicking next to the shipping screen doesn't matter. Worse case is you have to reneter the CC info.
