Live sand keep turning Brownish?

    Why does my live sand keep turning a brown color in certain areas?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Sounds as though it maybe related to flow with cynobacteria growing in areas of less flow.

    If your tank is relatively new, it could also be diatoms and that will just go away as the tank ages.
