    Ahh.. thanks.. I was in Big Al's this weekend and they had a beautiful display tank with some gravel that almost looked like crushed flacked contreete.. very dense and off white. Looked nice.

    I'm don't think it does.. See sand does more then just cover the
    bottom it will dissolve to a certain degree and thats what you want it to do to help replenish minerals and trace elements There are those who will say P.h will never get low enough to send it into dissolution .. Wrong it will that starts to some degree at about 8.1
