The pistol shrimp will kill the cleaner shrimp, so don't get both. I personally have a goby and a pistol shrimp. I love how they follow each other around. Very cool.

pistol shrimp might kill the cleaner. how about ocellaris clown pair, starry blenny, Yellow Watchman Goby, cleaner shrimp, and a firefish?

can u post a pic of the starry blenny. at my lfs the guy said that the pistol will pair up with the firefish goby and he would give me a good deal on the pair. thats the kind of goby i was considering. and also what about black ray gobys?.

lol a firefish goby isn't a shrimp goby; he lied to you. A blackray goby could work; I know it more commonly as a high fin red banded goby. That goby can pair up with shrimp. just remember its one shrimp or the other. How about ocellaris clown pair, blackray/pistol shrimp pair, firefish, and starry blenny? this is a starry blenny below

those starry fish look cool but weird lol. i wanna keep the fish colorfull but a starry sounds cool does it burrow? might be an O clowns pair, a cleaner shrimp, firefish, starry, and the high fin. and thats it i dont wanna overcrowd. what about snails. or other algae grazer

yeah IMO 5 fish would be fine in a 30 gallon as long as they all dont get like 6" LOL. but that sounds like a good list of livestock. I dont think the starry blenny burrows but the high fin might, since shrimp gobies make burrows to live in. As for snails you could always contact john at reefcleaners; he'll make you a custom clean up crew to help you out. Clean up crews (CUC's) will help eat detritus (waste) and some snails might eat algae too.
