Ok, along with my 2 clams I got 5 acro frags from the divers den! Well one wasted away after 12 days in about 12 hours and another one is starting! So I emailed LA and they credited my account no questions asked or pictures needed! Just sorry for your loss, here's your credit! AFTER 14 DAYS!

But i need to solve the Acro problem! I had them in indirect flow but after reading alot of threads was afraid it wasn't nearly enough! I read alot of people point huge pumps straight at them! So I pointed a koralia 750 in there general direction! Well the polyps on the side facing the pump stopped coming out! 3 days after this, 1 melted away and of course the prettiest one, neon green has started! So I moved the pump back to its original position, and the polyps are opening fuller! My params are in check, i think!

0,0, <5 on the basic 3 then 9dkh, 450 cal, 1350 mag using Red sea

RTN/STN from to much flow. I did the same thing, twice no doubt! Sadly there's nothing you can do to stop it. :(
Acros are sensitive lil buggers. I had 2 that were doing great for about 6 months. Then BAM! Both gone within 2 weeks. Don't be kicking yourself. They take practice :)

Thx! yeah i read and read and read! Heck 1 guy on here swears to put them in front of a 1150 directly to get them to grow, so i thought a 750 at 2' wouldn't even be enough, but pretty sure it was too much! Why does it always have to be the prettiest or most expensive that gets whacked?lol

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I never put mine in direct flow of a Koraila if that is any help.

What is the SG out of curiosity?

Ive been battling some STN myself lately. A newly purchase Acro showed STN after less then 12 hours in my tank. I did get it to stop. I pointed a powerhead in that general direction but not directly at it. I bounced the flow off a rock near the coral. My coral had 6 different branches on it and 3 were showing STN. I fragged 2 branches (frags doing great) and the 3rd I was able to get stopped. You can consider the superglue route. I got the STN to stop on the 3rd branch by supergluing the STN around the base. If you think you may want to frag then do not wait too long. You will need to cut well above the dead tissue. Hope this helps.
