Hi all - i've got a coral beauty angelfish that i'm treating w/ copper in a quarantine tank. Of course i put a piece or two of liverock from my main tank in with him. Is it safe to put that liverock back into the main tank after i'm through with the quarantine tank? Should i dip/rinse it in clean water before putting it back in?

I would not, copper can be a pain to get rid of and once in your DT can wreak serious havoc on your crustaceans/inverts.

Don't bother with the live rock in the QT next time. Copper will pretty much take out any biological filtration that was on the rock. If you were using it for hiding spots, large diameter PVC works just as well.

I would do one of two things. I would either throw the rock in the trash or I would keep it in the qt tank. it will only leach the copper back into the tank if you put it back. I wont use anything that water might splash while doing a wc from my qt tank knowing that there was copper there. I cant risk it with the 220 there is to much money there. my wife has actually told me im an idiot as I have thrown out miting buckets from them getting splashed by copper water. I wont risk it.

+1, agreed - I would not put anything back into the DT that has touched copper.
