I want to add another piece of LR to my tank and I can't get fully cured no dry dead rock out here. Can I buy what's in the LFS and clean it really well and add it to my tank or will it cause a spike? I don't want a spike so I need to know the best route? Annik if you see this you posted somewhere that you don't use LR due to the pesty hitchhikers, what do you use then?

I use dead rock. Basically, it's the same as live rock only it's not "alive" :) Luckily, it's easy to find around these parts but that doesn't seem to be the case up in your neck of the woods.

Have you considered curing live rock in a separate container like a bucket or plastic bin, assuming that's an option?
