honestly i think thats too high if he is just going with softies and LPS..
29G has mostly softies and LPS.. and my turn over rate wast even near that and all my corals where more than happy.

if you go by numbers my turn over rate was in the 30s.. maybe 35's..
now i have it in the 50s.. but most of my coral are twice/triple even quadrupled their size and they needed more flow.

SPS= short polyped stony.. ie.. acroporas.
LPS = long polyped stony ie.. frogspawns.
    and softies.. ie leathers..

    sps require more flow.
LPS require flow but not too much, in the low end. ( frogspawn for example needs low flow)
softies are IME somewhat in the middle.. not too much like SPS but not too little like LPS.

    LPS:long polyp stony(frogspawns, open brains)
SPS: Short polyp stony (acropora, closed brains(I think)) the biocube has a total of 75.25W of lighting. I'm not sure. I thought that's why they made the HQI(150W light) so people could easily have most SPS.

every coral needs some type of flow.. cant have the water stagnant..lol
but i mean, one thing is low flow and another is no flow at all.

Ok so let me get this straight...
Lets say i keep a kenya tree (softie right?) Could I just put it in front of the return pump of my biocube?
If i have a frogspawn, about how much gph would it need? and also, how much for lets say an acropora? (i thought HQi was just a fancier design to make more money LOL)
Also what kind of corals could the biocube light support? i just need that out of the way
