Hey guys, soo i have a 45G going through its cycle right now and i was wondering what kind of livestock you guys recommend for this size of a tank? I wanna get your recommendations and research them a bit during the cycle so once that finishes ill have an idea of what ill be looking for at my LFS. It will be a FOWLR for the time being but will soon become a reef tank once I upgrade my lighting and get more experienced with SW fishkeeping. I do plan on keeping a pair of clowns, so thats one of the list. lol Please let me know your ideas from fish to inverts! thanks!

45 gallons - gives you a target of 9 inches of fish in total for your tank
allowing for full potential size of the fish (not the size they are when you buy them)

    clowns are ideal IMO
other fish to consider would be
dwarf angels ( but if your going to reef it up later, consider carefully as some can peck at corals)
    Royal gramma
Fairy wrasse - flasher wrasse - small wrasse species in general ( check Liveaquaria they have a great list)
    blennies ( bicolor)

    inverts
    cleaner shrimp
    blood shrimp

plus the usual, hermits and snails for housekeeping duties

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Firefish
Yellow watchman goby with tiger pistol shrimp
    Clowns
    Royal gramma
    Cardinalfish

While I think most dottybacks and basslets are stunning, so is their personality, these fish I would avoid, except the royal gramma.
