well, as some of you know i started volunteering at my museum. the reef tank there is STUFFED with shrooms which the guy does not like as they smother some of the corals out. i spent about 3 hrs yesterday plucking shrooms from this tank with large tongs. i ended up bringing about 100 of them home. i tried directly superglueing some of them to the glass....they all fell off. i stuck some toothpicks through some of them and put them on rocks...but it does not seem to be going well. so for the rest( maybe 70 or so) i put some aquarium gravel into a tupperwear container, dumped the shrooms into it, and placed it into my sump in hoping they will attach to pieces of gravel that can then be glued. there is very little flow in the sump so there is no cover on the container. the only light in there for the shrooms is a standard hood off a ten gallon with one daylight bulb. i hope the shrooms will be ok in there for a week or so to give them time, but givin that you can razor blade these things in half with no issues i dont think they will die in there. do you all think i should go get some bridal veil/rubber bands and place this container into the display where theres more light?

Think twice about putting them in your tank or soon you will be doing what you did at the museum. They will spread pretty quickly and begin to crowd out zoas and other stuff. I haven't found anything that will eat them and I've started turning off all the pumps and when the water settles down I use a syringe and needle and put a bit of aiptasia control right in their mouth. They quickly return though. I don't want to totally dismantle the tank but nothing else seems to be working.
