Just got a nice lobo. Single polyp but the skeleton is about 1.5" in diameter.

I'm going to place it low and likely on the sandbed. Can lobos be placed directly in the sandbed or should I mount it to some rubble and place that in the sandbed?

    Thanks.

I would place it on the sand bed.

Push the skeleton end into the sand bed.

mine loves the sandbed, pretty sure she'd get bleached and wouldn't get fed enough higher up.

Going to see tonight if it's opening up. Plan to target feed it with the others on Sunday night if it is. :)

It's only about 2 1/2"s across but it loves any form of food, mysis shrimp, shrimp, silver sides, crab pellets, pellets, pretty much anything;)

    Nice and thanks.

I've got mine with the polyp facing up. Should it be over on its side or doesn't matter?

ohh, I'd put it up, but it got knocked over a few weeks ago and as you can see, that side is getting much thicker, prob a bad idea, but the coral seems to like it, so i left it be. Maybe the pods climb up easier that way for the lobe to eat, not sure.
