I myself like to have may different things in my tanks...
Is there any dangers/things to know about lobsters?
The purple lobsters are quite interesting.

Just afraid they will bother fish/inverts etc...

They are opportunist, nocturnal predators. If they get the chance to nab something while it is sleeping, it will. I personally wouldn't keep one in my reef ;)

LOL sounds good.. I will go against it as well then.
Any other interesting creatures that can be kept in a reef safe environment?
I have an urchin, shrimp, various snails, hermits, emerald crab

I dont want anything that will kill anything else though..

lobsters will eat anything. i got rid of mine cause it was eating all my bristle stars and it will certainly eat small fish if it can..fearless and hungry they are once they figure out that nothing around can eat them...

p.s. it was crazy to watch it sit there knawing on the ends of bristle star legs and the star is trying to get away but can't... eventually the stars end up having stubs for legs but get away...bummer

I have one & she is cool! she comes out in the evenning & is very interesting to watch & feed. I have not had any problems keeping her althou she is quite shy......she got her butt kicked by a small blue legged hermit that was half her size & my flame angle has a unheathy obsession to wind my lobster up! Its funny really as she is ment to be the bold one in there.
She is stunning & i have a good picture on here in my album if you wanna take a look.
    Thanks K

My purple lobster is awesome also. I have it in a very calm reef tank with small fish, shrimps, and star fish and I have never had a problem. But that is just mine too. I think they get a bad rap, we dont always see him, but when we do it is a real treat.
