I was looking around at macro algaes and i noticed some people were looking for gracilaria and i had never heard the name before so i looked up a picture and noticed its the same stuff that grows all over behind my house in the sound on my beach and ive actually kept it in a tank made up of local snails and hermits from around me.....i was wondering would it be safe to collect and put in my fuge if carefully inspected for stuff on it and also will it acclimate to the tank temperature and salinity?

this is the stuff i have in my local tank this looks like it right?

Yeah, it dies off in my tank. :)

I don't have enough nutrients to keep it going, but there's nothing wrong with it. It's even decent in a display.
