lol glad i'm not the only one! i'm lucky i still have a girlfriend after all this :p gotta say i'm having a lot of fun learning and building this though. the closest thing i've had to a "hobby" the past few years has been my fantasy football team. needless to say my records 1-7 this year and i couldn't care less hahaha

My buddy hooked me up with some more frags today. Idk if I'm adding corals too fast but I couldn't say no. Should I slow down? I know you should add fish very slowly is it the same with corals? They're all somewhat hardy softies, I think it brings the total to 6 small zoa colonies, about 4 mushrooms and a small kenya tree.

Params are all still good (what I can test for now anyways, more kits coming in the mail). I think I'm going to stick to a 15g water change every 2 weeks unless that seems like a problem.

(PS: the fantasy football team is now 2-7, woo! lmao)

I've also been trying to decide a list of fish to eventually keep. I currently have a pair of black/white clowns, a red scooter dragonet, and cleaner shrimp. Nothing new fish wise has been added for over 3 weeks.

These are just things that caught my eye - if anyone knows any reason not to get something or has ideas for other fish please let me know :)

I really like the splendid dottyback!

    and blue tang

    blue reef chromis - ehhh?

and things i like but probably cant have

there are some awesome wrasses, but i don't have a lid over my tank :(

my roommate has a jawfish i love, but it recommends 5" or more sand, mine is barely deeper than 2.

foxface lo - not reef safe? is the venomous thing a problem

type of dwarf angel - again, not really reef safe

Thanks for the input! I do really like the foxface, and maybe a flame angel? Also thinking a diamond watchman goby to help sift the sand.

I'm still no sold on the blue reef chromis - any other suggestions? Or does anyone have some and love them :p

And I really like the blue tangs.. bummer my tank won't be big enough. Are there any tangs that would be happy in a 4' long tank?

oh and i know you're right about the dragonet - he was my roommates and he was getting rid of him so I thought i'd give it a try. He eats when i feed the other fish so maybe i'm lucky there? we will see how it goes though, i'll have chaeto for my fuge this week and can hopefully get some more pods growing for him.

how many total pounds of rock/sand do you have in there now, and how are you liking the fine sand from marco?
