I have been feeding my tank heavy too to fatten up the hippo. Thus, having some patches of hair algae, but Im confident that it will disappear on its own when I get back to normal feeding schedule.

Those reefcleaner guys work really hard! Gonna love them!

Reefcleaners order came in today! The post office was really nice, I went there yesterday and told them what I had coming, so they called me in the morning before they opened to tell me it arrived so it wasn't out in the cold all day while mail was being delivered. Here's some pics

Got an Alk test while I was at it

I dropped them all in before I went to work. 6 hours later it looked like this!

yeah it hasn't come back yet! some diatoms I believe took its place - so the sand still doesn't very look white at the moment. But hell I'll take diatoms over cyano any day ;) lol

    the CuC I got were:

15 dwarf cerith (eats diatoms cyano and detritus)

5 florida cerith (diatoms cyano and detritus)

10 vibex snails (doesn't eat algae but are sand stirrers and scavengers, probably good for snatching any food that gets past the fish)

2 nerite large (diatoms cyano and detritus)

    6 nerite small
