Looks like they really like your tank. My snails took a little bit longer to wake up lol.

Hows the skimmer working for you? making decent skimmate? Most important hows the pump, its running the atman 2500 correct? I plan on getting the 160 like exactlyobp for my 75 ;D.

I don't think you'll be disappointed, he loves his 160! man I wish I would have got one, but they were out of stock and I needed one asap. I still like it a lot, but it's kinda like the 160's little sister :p

The pumps been great so far, it's silent to me. I didn't know about the problems with them until I read it in your thread. I used to unplug it every time I took off the cup and it started right up again.

Speaking of the skimmer though, I thought I had it working pretty good like pictured here

Lately (shortly after I installed my BRS reactors come to think of it) it hasn't been getting a good head of foam, so I've had raise the bubbles and skim pretty wet.. The next post explains what I think the problem could be

Thinking the problem with the skimmer may be all this loose stuff in my sump thats been getting worse for the past week. Looks like it could be loose sand? Maybe a little GFO getting out of the reactor? Diatoms? A mixture of everyhing, IDK lol. I'm not using a filter sock, that could help?

Curious to know the answer as well....mine has the same, just not near as much lol. The skimmer looks like it does a great job, I would use a sock if it were me, it will help allot. Just keep the sock clean.

Today I just siphoned out most of that junk in the sump. Took apart the skimmer and cleaned it out. I gonna mess around with the depth I have it in the sump for a couple days.

I use a filter sock (200 micron). Change it every 5 days or so.
