I just got freaked out it turned cloudy so quick. I just wanted to put my frags in there and admire them in clear water for a minute lol :p I've got no luck sometimes

I'll hope it's cleared up by morning. I have the day off work because I may need a root canal when I go back to the dentist in the AM, so Im gonna make a little frag rack with my spare time

OK so here is the plan today to combat the gfo dust that the sock released into my tank:

I bought a bigger turkey baster & a wet/dry shop vac today. I'm gonna blow it off the rocks, and probably have to siphon it out of the sand. I'm mixing 10+ gallons of new water. I'm gonna shop vac everything out of the sump b/c it's a mess down there. (this will become regular WC maintenance) I've also gotta take out my powerheads and clean them b/c they are also covered in dust. Clean the socks and put them back on.

Next time I change the media in my reactor I am going to use top off ro/di water to rinse the hell out of it before I put it in the reactor, and then make sure I have 5 gallons of water to let it run until it's clear once hooked up to the pump. I'm not gonna let this happen again 8)

Here's a temporary frag rack I threw together with an old mag float and rubber band. This way I can acclimate them to the lighting. (You can see how discolored the rock and sand are from my mess too)

Man, Logan, what did you do... Gonna take a while to clean up that crap..

The frags on the rack look all goo tho. Use superglue and zip ties to fix the eggcrate and the mag float.

One think to think of Logan is siphon it through a 100 micron sock that way you can be thorough and you won't lose all your saltwater!

It's a PITA but I'm not getting discouraged by it. Just another bump in the road. I mean hey, this way when do I have a clean healthy tank, I'll appreciate it more right? :p

Only well-learned lessons are hard lessons right?
