Sometime stuff dies. Its tough, we always want a reason. I had 3 fish die in my 55 for no good reason. I acclimated them the way I always do, no signs of predation or disease, and other fish were fine. Then nothing else ever died.
Corals are a million times worse due to all the different variables that affect THEM. My 55 couldn't keep birdnests alive for ANYTHING. I played with flow, dosing, everything. Through it all my acros were fine and my monti's FLOURISHED. I had an orange digitata that had ZERO PE for over a year.Moral of my story: Just gotta do your best. Some corals dont work for some systems, and you just stay away from them for a while.

I'm thinking of playing with the scape a little bit in the near future. I feel like it's too straight up and down, creating a lot of shadows on the rock facing the front glass, not leaving a lot of good real estate to place corals.

Plus, admittedly, I think aquascaping is pretty fun lol.

We'll see what happens during my next water change

I tend to mess with the tank setup during/after the water change as well :)

Playing with the new phone still and did a little video today. Nothing special, no new adds for a couple weeks.

So I haven't added any corals or fish for a long time now. Once my tax return is deposited I'm gonna give some different things a try!

To this point my LPS and SPS haven't done well, but the softies are good.
We all know I lost the two acro frags (no surprise), and the two acan echinatas I got at the same time don't look great right now either.

I never got positive IDs on these guys when I got them, but my best guesses are button coral cynarina and favite. These were both removed this week because they were goners.

So looking ahead - what's the deal with gorgonians? Has anyone reading this ever had one? Other ideas are a trach brain, plate coral, monti capricornis. Any suggestions?
