Great adds Logan, bummer on the crab. Commensal crabs are hairless.

Thank you John! I'm just glad I posted a pic of him and Alex pointed the problem out to me. I couldn't get him to fall off during the dip, but I haven't seen him on the acro since. I'll keep a close eye on it though

Thanks! It's more of a burnt orange/tan. IDK why it looks so light in the tank pics and so pink in the dipping picture.

Im glad you didn't buy a completely bleached acro lol! It looks pretty cool. I absolutely love acro crabs but usually you have to make sure you have a full colony in order to get one. Many of them only live in one type of acro and im a little frag guy.

Speaking of that, he didn't die when I dipped it.. maybe I need to order some CoralRX in the mail, the LFS doesn't sell it. Brightwell Aquatics MediCoral for 8 minutes didn't get the job done, and he's too small to pick out even with a paper clip

I added a colony with an acro crap that was marricultured and I didnt want nastiness to come in on it so I cased mine out with two toothpicks. Took about 10 minutes but keep that as an idea. Stoopid crabs!

Indeed! Is it safe to take it out of the water to do this? Or should I fill a little bowl with tank water before I go all dog the bounty hunter on this SOB?

So I came home today to a cloudy tank. Sands getting blown pretty bad in one spot.

Recently I upped my return pump a little but I don't want to dial it back down, it's not crazy high. It looks like the trouble spot is about where water from the return is clashing with the PH's on each side. They're both pretty high in the tank and pointed at the front glass.

Before I start aiming them all directions and possibly making things worse, are there any suggestions?
    [edit]
    - I thought flow turbulence was a good thing, getting currents to hit each other?
    - Is my best option to leave it lie, or gently push the sand back over there?

I'm gonna test for nitrate and ammonia and make sure I don't need to do a WC tonight. The sands only 1.5" deep and 5 months old including cycle.

My beautiful photobucket editing. The trouble spot is circled.
