Its the different light spectrum. The dipping pic was under regular house light, correct? They have more yellow/red than your MH. Its a good thing that the acro is showing pink, means it has pinkish pigment protein. Keep it happy, itll turn pretty!

Ok lets see... What do you think happens if you move the 650 to the same wall of 750? Kinda side by side 650 and 750?

I first aimed both my PH's so they'd bounce off the glass at the same location, and the same thing happened to me, "The Great Dust Bowl of 2011" Since this event, they are aimed directly level with the surface at each other from side to side long ways, and I've got them both on alternating 30 minute timers. I find little to no dead spots since the current switches back and fourth, and all my corals have loved the new change. The fish also don't get stuck in a Rut of never changing flow. There's even a 5 minute overlay once an hour that both Heads are on, and one where they are both off. Just an idea for ya...

    Sounds like a plan!

    Thanks Mattias!

Thank you! I knew someone else here had to have gone through something like this. Do I need a controller to do that, or could I use a Home Depot timer? I'll aim them center so they're not bouncing off the glass for now and see if that helps.

My Reefangel does a great job of alternating currten. I have almost no perceivable dead spots and am getting as far as I know good movement for both my LPS and sps.

Also, are you a graphic designer?!?! Amazing.

    hahaha!

ok so I'm feeling a little better about things for now. The sand didn't cause a huge spike, nitrates are 5, the ammonia is slightly darker than the 0 reading but no where near the next color at .25. Put a little MicroBacter7 in and I'm mixing a small WC for tomorrow. But I moved the sand back and put the powerheads where suggested. Flow seems to be spread out a lot better, we'll see how it looks tomorrow morning lol.

Just fed the acan again when some friends were over, it's probably my favorite thing to do right now. So cool. I really hope they do well!
