This is just a note for myself to refer back to:

I've finally got a good dosing routine to where I'm comfortable things are staying fairly stable right now. No more testing alk every few days, wooo!

Alk: 10mL in the morning and 10mL before bed have kept dkh between 7.7-8.3 this entire month. It's really not that much of a PITA b/c I top off at those times anyways.

As far as calcium goes, I'm 420 after a bi-weekly 10g WC. Dropped to about 380 after 2 weeks. BRS suggests 160mL to raise 20ppm. So I think I'll do that every weekend and see if that keeps it between 400-440 at all times.

Mag is good without any dosing: 1400-1360

pH is 8-8.2 but these API's are nearly impossible to read sometimes.

I've got some good and some bad news. Bad news first.. after having that sand storm a few weeks back and then re-positioning my power heads all up high, aiming upwards and middle, and also cutting down my return a little, the past couple days I've noticed it happening again. Strange because all was well for awhile, and I didn't change anything. I can't think of much else I can really do though. Damn sugar fine aragonite sand :p

    And now, the good news!

Looks like I got a baby red shroom on top of the other two here!

And my trumpet coral wasn't doing well at all for awhile, this picture was taken Feb 21st. It was shrinking losing flesh and you could see the skeleton on the edges.

Today, at least one of them seems to be doing better! It's the first time I've had something that was declining start to bounce back!

Oh and ignore the sand grains all over this rock, and try to focus on the COLOR!

Not gonna lie, those frags I'm getting from you gave me the extra motivation I needed to get things as stable as I can. It's nice to see it working!

Hmmmm... I guess the sand must have shifted little by little without you noticing and one day bam.. So it has to be a little more tweak..

On the other hand, the trumpet is coming back! Pretty fella too. Do you think it's related to the GFO being offline?
