Thanks, I just wanted some reassurance lol. I thought the ammonia might be higher by this point.

    I know, "patience, patience" :p

Well it's been another week and we're coming along! Ammonia has dropped to .25 and the nitrites look pretty close to 5ppm. To help pass the time during the cycle I've been trying to figure out which fish and corals to eventually keep, woo!

Looks awesome. Very nice progress! Can't wait to see it fully running and cycled. Awesome deal you got on the equipment, too.

Thanks a lot, it's been a ton of fun! My ammonia was near 0 tonight, so now we're just waiting out those nitrites :p

I feel I got lucky getting started with everything for the price. The cash I saved def helped me move things along faster

Ammonia and Nitrites have been 0 all day. Tested in the morning and again a few minutes ago. Could be nearing the end of the cycle.. fingers crossed!

15 days since I dropped the shrimp in and added some cured live rock. But I had the water, base rock & sand sitting in the tank with "live" sand for about 10 days before that, so not sure if that coulda got things moving before I was testing.

The cycle is near the end, I think! You can start getting some fish, like clowns or something. How is the skimmer doing?
