Yeah it was over 90 when I shipped so I waited til the cut off point to ship.

Yup. I did what I could, but well get it taken care of. As soon as paypal un-f**ks my account. LOL Luckily its all stuff I can clip and try again. I really don't know what the hell happened, I packaged it perfectly. LOL.

Yup that's a good enough reason to never go with UPS again. By "end of day" is a little to vague for the 8 dollars it saved me. At least FedEx has a by 10am option.

Logan; Stuff looks awesome. I am super happy it is all working out for you. Hopefully that stuff will take off and the magic will have just been in the dosing/leather removal. I'll clip some more of this stuff in the near future and well try again. grats man!

I guess the package stayed on the UPS truck too long and the temp inside fluctuated too much. Just sucks.

Yup had to be, because I had let most of them encrust the plugs before sending to limit the amount of stress from fragging/shipping.

    Does definitely suck!

Thanks a lot Shin! I'm optimistic that the reefpets stuff will do a lot better than last time around. And Andrew you've been a stand up guy, I think you may have even been more bummed than me when we found out they didn't survive the trip. It sucks worse because they were such awesome frags too!!

What makes it more frustrating is I saw the ups truck down the road from my house at like noon. And the town I live in is only 1 square mile, so you know he must have left and then came back 6 hours later for my drop off. Ahhhh! lol

As far as the fish goes, I've been browsing through liveaquaria the past two nights. It's no secret I've been liking wrasses lately! It's so hard to decide on which one though. I'm also open to other suggestions if anyone has any.

To save on shipping costs, I'd like to add two or three at the same time if that's possible without causing a harmful mini-cycle. My tank has been just 2 fish swimming around for the better part of 7 months, I'd like to get more movement in there

I think you should be fine adding 2 or 3 fish at once. You may have a small mini-cycle, but your LR should catch up really quickly. Of course this depends on what wrasse's you are looking at since some are really delicate when it comes to param swings when first introduced.

I had a flasher die on me when I moved my rock around causing a small ammonia spike that didn't even last 12 hours.

Would you use a QT at all?

Number of the fish you can add at a time depends on the fish size, relatively. I dont think wrasses are big pooper, so... wrasse(s) all the way! McCosker's flasher is hardy, it's my case as well, or could be a Carpenter's. And an anthia, no?

I've never had a QT, but.. come to think of it.. I'm sitting here looking at my roommates old FOWLR ~35g hexagon in the corner opposite my tank. He sold all his fish a few months ago and we never took it down. Been running with a canister filter, live rock, gravel, and my bulldozer crab ever since. Hmmmm

Those are the two flashers I liked! I only found them selling males though, so getting more than one might not be able to happen. If that's the case, I'd like to get another Anthias for sure (squareback) and maybe a Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse? There's too many options haha!

You'll be fine. I have added 4 fish at a time with no problem, including one of my leopards.

As for my 2 cents; McCosker's > Carpenters as the later is MUCH more aggressive and the full male will never present coloration like a McCosker's full male.

Maybe do a fairy and a flasher?

If I was gonna pick two that were easily accessible from LA/DD I would go McCoskers, and Labout's fairy wrasse.

    Want something a bit harder?
    8 Line Flasher
    Cirrhilabrus roseafascia

    Want something impossible?
    Paracheilinus Attenuatus
    Cirrhilabrus sanguineus

Gotta have deep pockets to be a wrasse freak! Haha.

If you don't know those species I highly recommend you google them, you'll be in for a shocker!:p

Those are some sweet wrasses you listed there, thanks! I had a couple questions I posted in the reply but then I remembered the new sticky about "keeping build threads on topic". So when I have more specific questions I'll start a new thread in the appropriate section and then just link to it from this thread.

So here we go, a wrasse ordering thread! :p
