welp this is pretty much it. I gotta find a way to get the mesh to lay flat on the egg crate. Probably just use rubber bands. I'm gonna add a few holes around top to tie the lid on. And I'll hold it in place with a mag float.

It measures 18x6x6, and boy does it look like it will barely fit on my front glass without hitting any rock or anything. I probably should have thought about that first :p

Ok I think I'm ready for the new arrivals today. Float for 15 minutes, drip acclimate, and then toss them into the box! Now if they would only get here...! ::)

Thanks Andrew! I might not have snagged him if you didn't give me the heads up about DD that day ;D

I put a blanket over the window so its not getting blasted by sunlight when I put them in. It says to not have the room brightly lit when they come out of the bags, and to wait 4 hours before turning tank lights on. Do you think it's a good idea to only run the t12's today and keep the halides off until tomorrow, or is that unnecessary?

I'll be honest: I've never followed the light rule. As long as they have a place to hide, I don't worry about it. That piece of PVC makes a world of difference.

I try to keep things dimly lit while acclimating, however.

Thanks Hunter! They're both in the PVC right now actually. I hope the flasher makes it, he hasn't been moving a whole lot and is sorta on his side at the moment with his eyes looking around still.. I'll keep you guys posted later on how they're doing
